ABOUT ME
My name is Lakshmi Samavedam and I am an artist and educator based in Hyderabad, India. After several years working in the corporate world, I turned towards converting my passion in arts as a full-time activity. I have spent time over the last 10 years in learning and improving my skills at various art forms while simultaneously imparting art education to students and enthusiasts.
By way of formal education, I have completed BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) from Lalit Kalakshetra, Coimbatore. I have also participated in various art workshops and exhibitions and have been an active participant in the Hyderabad Art circuit.
Creative themes of interest
My art reflects my interest in nature and culture. Canvassing the feelings, emotions, thoughts, and struggles as a human being have been a strong inspiration for me. Nature and Indian culture have been another thematic area of interest.
Teaching
I am passionate about teaching and my focus has been on preparing students for undergraduate art, architecture, and design programs offered by universities in India and other countries. Typical Indian entrance exams that need preparation for Creative Skills include NIFT, NID, and NATA. Most of my students are placed in prestigious institutes like CEPT, NID, NIFT, and other private colleges in India.
For students pursuing admission in international education programs (the USA, Europe & Singapore), I help them plan, design, and prepare a comprehensive creative portfolio for submission to the universities.
I conduct group and individual online and offline classes for art enthusiasts of all ages and hailing from diverse geographies. I teach a wide variety of art mediums ranging from color pencils & charcoals to water colors, oil & acrylics.

I undertake specific design and painting assignments on a commercial basis. Whether your requirement is for home, gifting or business, I customize the paintings according to your taste.
